Apostolic initiative
In 1981, two Antonine nuns were invited by the Congregation of Notre-Dame to continue their studies in Canada. With the help of this Congregation, the sisters are able to start an pastoral apostolate within the Lebanese Community in Ottawa which has since developed and grown successfully.
Aware of the numerous apostolic needs of the Lebanese community in Canada, our Congregation decided to initiate, in Ottawa, the Providence Foundation aiming to become the core of our establishments in Canada.
Apostolic Project
Without the help and encouragement of the hierarchic authorities of the c Nunciature, of the Eparchy Saint-Maron of Montreal and of the Achidiocese of Ottawa, this important apostolic project would not have been launched. We are also greatly thankful to the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa for the generous guidance they so freely gave us and for the precious support of many religious Canadian organisms.

Realisation
The realization of our goal Providence Foundation developed over three years 1986-1989 under the collegial guidance of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa, with the devotion of the Antonine Sisters Canada and with the unfailing commitment of the Congregation of the Antonine Sisters-Lebanon. The 29th of June 1989 is the beginning of the Providence Foundation.

ENROLL YOUR CHILD IN PROVIDENCE SCHOOL
The Providence School is a school of International Languages. Our unique program gives young children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 an enriched Arabic Language education influenced by Lebanese Culture. The school is open on Saturdays from 9:30 to 12:30 during the school year.
